When added to previous donations from Karl's co-workers at Tyler Technologies, over $16,700 has now been donated to help Karl and Barb with their expenses! We still welcome any additional donations, because their expenses continue to mount.

Phantom Walk Information
Why the Phantom Walk for Karl?
We won’t have to train or purchase new shoes
No tough exercise or sore muscle blues,
No sweat, no jersey, no leg wraps and such
This will be easy and will mean so much
No pasta, no power bars, no Gatorade
Just your good heart and we’ve got it made

As you probably know, our dear friend Karl Gilbertson was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia, also known as acute myelogenous leukemia) several months ago. He has been undergoing a rigorous regimen of chemotherapy at Mayo Clinic and is now scheduled for a stem cell transplant in the coming weeks. Barb and Karl have been challenged not only with Karl’s medical condition and a diminished ability to work, but also with major medical costs not covered by insurance. Karl has been hospitalized almost continuously since January and Barb has faithfully been by his side nearly every day. This Phantom Walk for Karl is being held as a demonstration of our friendship and support for both of them.
